Marta Cruz Flores

 Marie Curie fellow

Post-doctoral researcher working on the demographic effects of toxic contamination on Arctic seabirds. Her research has focused on the population, spatial, and trophic ecology of seabirds.

Paco Bustamante

Supervisor

Researcher in ecotoxicology with a keen interest for trace element bioaccumulation and effects in marine organisms. His work aims at understanding the factors determining the contamination of seabirds considering both the detoxification strategies they have evolved and the toxic effects contaminants can produce. He also used marine organisms to biomonitor contaminants are large spatial and temporal scales, particularly mercury. He is Professor at the LIENSs laboratory, CNRS/La Rochelle University.

Jérôme Fort

Supervisor

Researcher in marine ecology and ecotoxicology, with a keen interest in the study of polar regions. His work aims at understanding how Arctic seabirds are threatened by multiple environmental stressors (whether climatic- or anthropogenic-related), as well as investigating Hg sources, levels and impacts in these sensitive species at the pan-Arctic scale. He is researcher at LIENSs-CNRS/La Rochelle University, and coordinator of the international ARCTOX initiative.

Christophe Barbraud

Collaborator

Researcher in ecology with a keen interest for demography, population dynamics and evolution of life history traits. His work aims at understanding the ecology and population dynamics of seabirds with an emphasis on the impact of global changes (climate, fisheries, pollution, invasive species), and contributes to implement marine conservation strategies. He is director of research at CEBC-CNRS/La Rochelle University

David Grémillet

Collaborator

David Grémillet is a biological oceanographer with a keen interest for animal ecophysiology and movement ecology. His work aims at understanding seabird responses to global changes, and at enhancing marine conservation strategies. He is CNRS research director at the CEFE in Montpellier and Research Associate at the University of Cape Town.
